Headed down to Mansfield Hollow to run on dirt as the woods still have a fair bit of snow here - certainly not onerous, but its April dammit and we want bare dirt.

Lake a bit high, quite a few sections of trail under water including one stretch about knee deep. But mostly a brisk pace on good trails with the usual Sunday regrouping breaks.

So... Haven't been on the bike in about 8 months... Dirty Duathlon in 4 days... seems about right. Jammed it hard on the dirt road around lake and back. Hardpack dirt, some washboard, some fresh loose gravel, some peanut butter and a short stretch of open water. Maxed the HR, man that hurt... But no damage done...

Felt like going for a walk, had excess vacation to burn off, so left work early and strolled a few on the Airline Trail.... Interesting little heart rate blip when I turned around, wasn't like it was all that sudden or anything. Maybe just system shock at heading east instead of west...
