Note

Had hoped to get out for a run today, but the foot is just being uncooperative. Only really painful if I hit it just right, but otherwise just downright uncomfortable - certainly not enjoying running right now. But ultimately bagged it for today..

Afternoon run to the lake in the melting schlop. Nice out but totally lethargic run.

Getting porky again. Tis the season...

Note

Another zero today. Actually wanted to get out and run in the snow, about 4 inches here, but couldn't locate my winter hat(s). Been looking for them for a couple weeks now, no idea where they've migrated to. So ordered up a couple more since they were on sale in the REI outlet. And they shipped this afternoon. Which means my old ones should come out of hiding tomorrow...

Another wet, soggy day out. And possibility of snow in the forecast for tomorrow AM. Looks like I'm done with fieldwork for this week...

Cold, wet & miserable out. Not a day conducive to field checking. So off for some shared misery with the Amigos. Since it was raining I skipped wearing glasses, not really needed for rail trail, right? Well a bit past 6 miles I managed to find something to fall over... went down hard on what is essentially coarse, wet sandpaper. Me thinks its going to be a stiff afternoon.

Slow to start - marshy, vague definition, but then got into some more open woods and covered much more ground.

Tried working on the steeper, rocky hillside covered in laurel. Foot objected. So worked an area just south of there. Slow going with lots of little laurel thickets - felt like I was walking in circles. But another chunk done...
