Up through Beaverhead/Deerlodge NF, through Anaconda and into Bozeman and stopped at Museum of Rockies for about 5 hours. Nice place, but got quite busy as day progressed. Went to a Thai place downtown where we learned about the Yellowstone flooding evacuations. We had planned to camp near Gardiner and slip through the north part of Yellowstone at daybreak and drive up through Beartooth/Absaroka mountains. All areas closed and under emergency evacuation orders. There go those plans.
Dallied about downtown visiting art galleries and such for a few hours before heading east around 5pm. A couple 30mi dogleg as we encountered more road closures east of Yellowstone while trying to access camping options. Frustratingly pointless driving miles...

Up early for photos
9 AM

Note

Dropped down from the Goat to a photo only position. Some jogging about to catch runners but not really enough to quantify as an exercise session.

So one DNF and one DNS for the week. A good time all around but now time to point the orange beast eastward...
8 PM

Note

Left Fishtrap around 1PM, stopped in Missoula at a restaurant Boris & Allie recommended for dinner. Then toward Bozeman stopping at Flint Creek CG in Beaverhead/Deerlodge NF for the night. Nice spot, $0.

Walking 1:45:00 [1]
shoes: Roclite 275 2020

Total WAG on time spent actively walking or light jogging taking photos etc

Navigated to all controls cleanly, but rocky underfoot with wet vetch in low spots made higher ground the only good runnable stuff. So plenty of meandering routes to get optimal running, and walking hills and rocky bits. Not a stellar time but best M60+

Good run... no major errors, felt fairly strong. Slow coming down steep junky hill from 8-9 but otherwise OK. 2nd on long course

Never found 4, 6 not in right place, map dubious and that's generous. Got to #8 about an hour in. Called it and ran trail back, save legs for tomorrow.
