Went out just after the massive downpour. It was stinking hot and the humidity through the roof. I just got slower and slower...
Actually started a bit sore from yesterdays training!
Stopped for water.. then to lean against a post while watching a football game.. then just will power to finish.
Ran over to fitness equipment by the Lake. Then did 5 circuits. Each one included 2 x arm exercises... 1 times seated quad press and a flexibility thing. Then down the steps and sprint up. - so 5 hill sprints.
Summer Series #3 at Days Park.
Can't say I felt particularly strong with the running. Made one 'mistake' as I tried to cut through some ' white' that was obviously going to be green and I did it anyway!
Also picked 2 suboptimal route choices.
5k Harriers Fun Run.
22 seconds faster than last week.
Went past finish in 13:12 which was 20 seconds faster than last week so all the gain was in the first lap.
Felt it a bit on the 2nd lap. Tried to hold it back a bit so I could get up the steep climb which I did... then had Owen chase me down near the end!
