Salsa Demo Day at Devou Park MTB Trails. Rode an El Mariachi. OMG. It was awesome.

Salsa Warbird (CX / Gravel Grinder bike). Just a shocking change after a MTB. Still pretty cool. Tried some gravel and grass. If it were mine, I'd need a lower climbing gear.

MTB 22:51 [3] 0.87 km (26:10 / km) +1m 26:02 / km

Salsa Bucksaw. My first ride on a fat bike. This is a dual-suspension fat bike that costs about $5000, and it was simply ridiculous. You had to be careful of the slower handling, but it really didn't matter because you could just pick any line---I was aiming at rocks and other small obstacles because it just floated over everything. Really cool bike, but I doubt I'll ever get one. I would like a non-suspension fat bike eventually, particularly for snow.

Note

A wonderful weekend in Chapel Hill, NC, with David Waller's new Carolina North Map and an awesome 5+ km Green course at Umstead with 5 controls---long legs {drool---eyes roll up into head}.

More details later.
