Drone flying at USARA Nationals. Lost drone, but found it after long-ish search. When it gets to a certain low battery level, it just lands whether there are trees in the way or not.

I took off near the parking lot (HNF area, not IN DNR area! very important), then walked up the track so I'd have signal to the drone "over the ridge line", but when it got low on battery, I could hear it, but not get it above me where I could see it. I aimed for a big clearing, but it autolanded first. Looked for 30-45 minutes, maybe. Walked by it like 6 times. I have a photo of where it ended up. I had a final location image (from the drone camera), but it was hard to match up with real life. I was also able to get the GPS location near the end of the flight, and that helped so much. It was literally at the edge of a trail just above eye height.
