Trying out a folding bike I bought. I think it is a Strida 5 (with the disk brakes). Very, very geeky. Gearing seemed just a touch high even in this very flat park. Probably not an issue. I spent 15 minutes figuring out how to lower the seat. Very twitchy. I'm scared to ride with just one hand.
Cutting Grass (with lots of indoor breaks). An experiment to see if my watch will count steps using only my Garmin Tri-HRM strap. In "Hike" mode, the answer is no. The strap has a feature where you link it to the watch, start a recorded activity (verify the strap is detected), and hit start. Then you can put the watch down to charge or whatever, and wear the strap. The watch sets the time on the strap, and when you bring them back together afterwards, you can hit stop on the watch, and save, and the watch downloads data from the HRM strap. I'm going to try "Run" or my normal "Orienteering" activity (which might be a copy of "Run"---I can't remember). With Orienteering, I get running dynamics including steps, so that's the next experiment when I'm cutting grass.
