I messed up. On my "headless" grass cutting, I turned off GPS capability for the "Run" category. I assumed it was just for that recorded activity, but no. So I walked a park to get some trails and vegetation boundaries for a quick tiny O' map, but it didn't record!

Cutting grass. Experimenting with wearing a chest strap heart rate monitor, and starting a “Run” on my Garmin with gps off. Then I leave the watch inside, cut the grass, and when I stop the “Run”, the HR and running dynamics data transfers to the watch and uploads. Seems to work. Next time I’ll try charging the watch during the “Run”.

The chest strap seems to have missed a lot. Maybe I’ll try electrolyte gel next time. It sure seems like I was sweaty enough. And the strap has a fresh battery.
