Roadbiking 45:00 [2] 12.0 mi (3:45 / mi) +5m 2:20 / km
(injured)
first real training since the 100 miler.. tendonitis still pretty bad but does not bother me when i ride... was sluggish, just drafted off yumay the whole way....
Trail Run 15:00 [3] 2.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
trail run with yumay to the 3.5mm at the sammamish trail.. were going to run the whole way but started to run way too fast and just hammered it to the bridge, then walked home on the other side by the golf course as the weather turned nice and warm... shin did not hurt during the run... but its still very tender otherwise...
C • recovery 1

Sunday Sep 16

Hike 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
hiked to a couple of CPs during the race... foot is still not very good... what a training week!!
C • Can't say enough 5

Saturday Sep 15

Event: 4th Dimension 24h Adventure Race

Friday Sep 14

Note
(injured)
no better at all... probably made worse due to extremely little sleep, and constant running around (hobble, yeah) to get ready for the 24h AR... i cant believe the Trioba brothers once put on 5 races in a year, 3 of them 24h!... beats me to the ground just doing one 24h... glen and i should have probably given PLAIN a miss but it was just too good to regret...
C • Consolation.. 1
C • Good luck in recovery! 4

Tuesday Sep 11

Note
(injured)
boy its bad.... not a friend of tendonitis... or infected blisters but those i can live with....

Sunday Sep 9

Trail Run 31:54:20 [2] 110.0 mi (17:24 / mi) +6424m 9:09 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia Grey #1
Wow... its done... I (together with glen rogers) finished the Plain 100 miler... to date only 18 people had finished at the hardest 100 miler (its actually much longer). no course flagging, no pacing, no aid stations (one drop).. today there were some really big names signed up, and the field was strong, so 14 out of 34 racers finished...
I had a terrible race actually, blew up my stomach twice for 12+ hours, sprained my ankle (had to hobble for several hours... ankle is grapefruit size now...), and almost had to throw up several times... but I stuck it out even though I was really hurtin... Glen was too fortunately, and together we motivated ourselves to get it over with... gorgeous course!
C • Congrats! 13

Saturday Sep 8

Event: Plain 100 miler

Wednesday Sep 5

Trail Run 50:00 [3] 5.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
easy trailrun with eric... last one before plain!!
C • I wish you good luck... 5

Monday Sep 3

Mountainbike 1:06:00 [2] 9.0 mi (7:19 / mi) +240m 4:12 / km
Soaring Eagle Ride with Yumay... the trails were awesome... made me think to have a fat ass ultra there in the winter, or a MTB race.. would be cool... we mostly did the 10 mile loop of Eric's northwest trail runs
http://www.nwtrailruns.com/
We even found a streamer we forgot to take down last time.. i have helped out with every NW trail run to far, maybe next time i ll run it once.. give ruri a good run for the money (insert laughter here).
C • Ha, ha, ha! 5

Sunday Sep 2

Roadbiking 1:29:33 [3] 43 km (2:05 / km) +200m 2:02 / km
great ride around lk samm... pushing pretty good on the way back... the lk samm trail was a parking lot with kiddies and parents out of control so we rode at 10mph trying not to run over a kid, dog, or other...

Saturday Sep 1

Run 2:52:00 [3] 12.0 mi (14:19 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Roadrunners
Streetscramble Run with AV, Hayes, Murray and Yumay.. had a great run and good nav until AV started having problems about 2h into it with the pounding... his broken femur will take a while to completely get back... still finished pretty well point-wise...
