Still a wee bit out of breath running up here but much better now... ran alone so tried to speed up a bit, kept a good pace for the first 15 minutes then had to slow down... pouring rain

Sunday Jan 27

Run 2:08:00 [2] 10.0 mi (12:47 / mi) +450m 6:59 / km
ran up to 10000 feet to parque metropolitana, having to walk a good bit of the hills due to the altitude... a couple of days more of acclimatisation and i should be fine.. yumay did great... we were both pooped at the end though, i need to get into the groove if i want to do the brazil race now....

Soccer 45:00 [4]
brutal workout, our boat (2 touists, captain, 2 sailors and guide) against another boat, probably close to 100F, i almost had to stop... we lost 1-2, i scored our only goal...

ran again on a long beach (about 2k) back and forth for 1h... had to slalom around sealions, very cool.. the sand was super soft so it felt like a run up to mt. si

swam back to the boat after our workout....

Monday Jan 21

Swimming 1:00:00 [2] 1.0 mi (1:00:00 / mi)

hiked out of tayrona the long way around via the pueblito and the far end of the park, this trek is out of this world,... felt like indiana jones... the trek up to the pueblito had gigantic stone plates to climb up on, we had to go through bat caves, and yumay even found a perfect place to play tarzan and swing across a river with one of those long plants... we voved to come back...
C • You mean that you played ta... 1

Saturday Jan 12

Hike 1:30:00 [3] 5 km (18:00 / km) +100m 16:22 / km
shoes: BrooksCascadiaT Nr1
went to tayrona parque, quite possibly the most beautiful jungle park i have ever seen... this is what the pictures and movies of beaches look like... untouched and pristine... i had stomach issues so yumay carried the big pack (about 40lbs of water, food, clothing and lots of extra stuff for camping).... it was a great hike in seeing lots of birds, creatures and butterflies... the rest of the day we hiked around for several hours around the beaches, not log-able

Friday Jan 11

Run 55:00 [3] 5.0 mi (10:59 / mi) +150m 6:15 / km
shoes: BrooksCascadiaT Nr1
ran in taganga at the beaches and over the highland connector trails ... was so amazing yumay did not want to stop, so i had a jugo de melon at the beach and she ran back and forth for another 20 minutes or so....

Sunday Jan 6

Run 3:20:00 [2] 28 km (7:09 / km) +150m 6:57 / km
shoes: BrooksCascadiaT Nr1
La Ciclovia, Bogota closes off half of its roads to bikers, runners and skaters... super cool, wish the states did that in all the major cities... there must have been hundreds of thousands of people running, cycling and hiking about the city.... we took it really easy as the elevation still really shorted us of our breaths... but it was a great outing, we ran all teh way up north into the other city suburbs...

Saturday Jan 5

Hike 1:45:00 5.0 mi (21:00 / mi) +550m 9:43 / km
shoes: BrooksCascadiaT Nr1
First Hike up Monserrate in Bogota, tough as we flew directly to 8500 feet... the top of Monserrate is over 10´000 feet, so we had to take it a bit slower at times....
