Trail Run race 5:56:34 [4] 31.05 mi (11:29 / mi) +7218ft 9:25 / mi
shoes: Brooks Cascadia #1

McDonald Forest 50k, a real killer race... 7500feet of vertical up, and it felt like vertical.... i started really slow probably in about 130th place (of 250) and by midway (2h33) i was in around 100th place... then the most part of the uphills/downhills started, one chinscraper after another.. passed about 10-15people on each uphill and about 2-3 on downhills due to my adventure race and trailrunning experience, however super slippery trails and 45 degree slopes put me to the test... after the big hills i ended up 31st at the last CP but then was passed by two fast runners on the last 5 mile... scott mc coubrey had cramps on the last 10 miles and i almost caught him even... by far my best run this season, only 1h 15 behind the winner brian morrison..... and i wasnt even pushing it as i m riding up the oregon coast with my dad and want to focus on long bikerides right now....

Trail Run 1:08:43 [2] 6.5 mi (10:34 / mi) +591ft 9:44 / mi
shoes: Montrail Leona Divide

across the hill to avondale and back, with yumay, towing/pushing her up the hills... overdid it a bit in the middle as she speeded up at the end and kicked my butt...
