Mountainbike 5:00:00 [2] 30.0 mi (10:00 / mi) +900m 5:41 / km
MTB to last trek...almost all of it single track, what a course.. lots of different single track as well, easy, gnarly, navigational choices, bikewhacks... incredible
Trail Run 5:05:00 [3] 14.0 mi (21:46 / mi) +1400m 10:20 / km
shoes: Montrail Diez Vista #2
2nd trek, gained about 50minutes on DART but nowhere near what we needed to catch them, they were almost 2h ahead.. additionally Eric forgot his climbing equipment and we had to run back 30 minutes to get it... bummer... rest of the trek was very fast, good, and eric navigated perfectly as well...
Paddling 9:00 [1] 0.6 mi (14:59 / mi)
solo rubber ducky paddling down to the finish, very cool! was about a type2 rapid...

Saturday Sep 23

Note
Wicked Sunsweet 24h,
good race, usual performance with strong trekking, mediocre biking and strong-ish paddling... eric's navigation was spot on for most of the 24h, really impressive and his TA times were probably worse than any of last year's races.. part of this is my fault as my TA's were horrible too, unorganized, slow, not too helpful for him either... overall lost probably 2.5h to the best case scenario but that is hard to achieve in such a long and hard race... the race itself was the best 24h adventure race i have ever done, hands down, due to so many reasons. Ruaraidh and Wanda were good and strong new teammates, though we could improve by simply racing together again, and hopefully will.
Mountainbike 27:04 [3] 4.0 mi (6:45 / mi) +200m 3:38 / km
MTB to the first paddle
Paddling 2:40:00 [3] 15.0 mi (10:40 / mi)
paddle on the reservoir.. due to the fact that it had some dog legs it was great to see all the top teams (nike beaver creek, DART, nuun/clif, NW Nike ACG) race hard out to the cps and navigate around each other..
Mountainbike 5:05:00 [4] 35.0 mi (8:43 / mi) +1500m 4:47 / km
MTB to the first trek, included a huge spill down a steep ravine with my bike and banging up my knee and worse my private part as well, took me about 5 minutes of fetal positioning and humming to recover
Trail Run 2:30:00 [2] 7.0 mi (21:25 / mi) +700m 10:10 / km
shoes: Cascadia #4 Orange
1st trek, made up about 30 minutes to dart due to erics perfect navigation and probably some speed too, though its always hard to say as they claim every second they lose to nav... would probably have to do a team 50k once to prove that one
