fun ride with my dad and brother in law near my hometown, lots of double and some singletrack... legs felt great other than on some of the long climbs, and lungs have now 95% of capacity back... all good and recovered... phew

Thursday Jul 12

Note
(injured) (sick)
Extremely short of breath, can barely move past glacial speed and not sleep well, may need to go see a doctor before taking a 12h flight being restricted to a tiny seat... now i know what it feels like to be 300+lbs and smoking... walked 1 mile with my sister and the babies and had to turn around, took us almost 1h...
C • DEFINITELY go see a doctor, an... 1

Wednesday Jul 11

Roadbiking 3:04:24 [3] 70 km (2:38 / km) +1100m 2:27 / km
breathing problems... nasty breathing problems... some bronchial thing...
Swimming 50:00 [1] 1.5 km (33:20 / km)
hey guys, its me, unfortunately... this is going to be the last post for a while... i got to the TA after a kick@$$ bike section where i passed another few solos that looked pretty done... breathing problems started early on the pass but did not really slow me down much, it was about 30F and snowing on top, and rainy and super cold, did not help on the way down... all of a suddent it cleared up (felt like an astma attack for a while) and i got the the TA and decided to go swim right away... the water was bittercold (58F) and the breathing problems returned, slowly getting worse by the minute... tried to alleviate it with floating and brest stroke, but that did not work at all.... kept doing it for another few minutes, until my chest stated seizing up and i felt like i was going to suffocate... a rescue boat picked me up and left me the option to continue, they wrapped me up in warm blankets and i waited for 30 mintues, but the breathing was still super hard and I promised Yumay just one thing, not to die out there.. nothing is more important I guess :)
oh well, it was an amazing four days, beautiful scenery, great support (they slept less than i did and never even got a chance to shower), and my body responded very well to the "stage" like hammering...
roger, over and out... thanks for the shout outs.. see you on the trails..
