Had an O' "race" with dad today at Farrel McWhirter, but it was more of a training exercise using some of the tougher permanent controls. He beat me by about 15 seconds. Farrel McWhirter is a simple, easy map, so I focused on flowing through controls without stopping, and tried to do a better job of reading the map on the run. I am getting better at that. I also improved my thumbing and map folding technique.
As far as the gap between Dad and I, I think I'm closing it :). I beat him all the time on Catching Features, but in real life O', he outruns me, and might be a little better navigator.
