Run race 24:35 [4] 5.0 km (4:55 / km)
slept:9.5 weight:135lbs (sick)

Felt great today running the 12Ks of Christmas 5k run. I still have some conjestion, and it held me back a little bit, but no wheezing and this was about as good as I could have hoped for. Of course, today is the day I feel much better running a 5k with no meaningful value one day after a very important 'O meet. Oh well. I would say my time would have been about a minute to 1:30 better today had I been fully healthy, but I'll never know.

Update: I got 3rd in my class! (Male 1-15 yrs)

Orienteering race 41:26 [3] **** 3.7 km (11:12 / km)
12c (sick) shoes: Brooks Cascadia 3

I ran an awful race. Two major mistakes, and even without those I was never really in it. I was still recovering from my cold and my mind and body just weren't there. I was way too tired by the end, and I was wheezing like crazy. Fortunately, you can throw three meets away, and I'll be able to do that. Now I have four races on my belt so the pressure is aleviated a bit, and I can start buiding on my current total. I'm still looking for another top 7 finish before I can start running with a chip on my shoulders.
