9 AM

Orienteering - Bush (NOY5 Shotgun Avenue) 58:32 [3] ** 6.14 km (9:32 / km)
10c shoes: Salomons June 2014

Hard Medium. 10 Controls. Nominal 4.8 km.

No huge screw-ups.
Overshot #2 about 50 m too far east.
Overshot #9 about 100 m too far east.

Ankle continuing to grizzle despite ankle guards.

First time I have ever worn thermal top whilst running an Orienteering race.

KC waited in car until I was finished.
10 AM

Orienteering - Bush (NOY5 Shotgun Avenue) 1:20:21 [1] ** 4.67 km (17:12 / km)
8c shoes: Salomons June 2014

Moderate Long. 8 Controls. Nominal 3.2 km.

With KC.

Overshot #3 about 30 m east.
Mucked around a fair time with #6 in a region I had never been before.

Walking, talking and taking photos so no time pressure.

Started to drizzle at the end, and it was freezing cold, so time to head back home.
1 PM

Note

Sitting in the Commercial Hotel at Morpeth, in front of a combustion fire, eating chilli and garlic prawns with KC was a very nice and relaxing alternative to continuing to brave the arctic chill.

11 AM

Run - Miscellaneous 40:16 [3] 7.22 km (5:35 / km)

Missed park run yet again!
So general time fill slow run around Georgetown whilst waiting for KC at an appointment.
Fitness and speed going backwards.
12 PM

Gym Mayfield - Solo Elliptical 10:00 [3] 2.16 km (4:38 / km)

Not actually Mayfield.
Genesis Warners Bay. Visiting KC's gym whilst she worked out.
1 PM

Gym Mayfield - Solo Weight Training 50:00 [3]

Not actually Mayfield.
Genesis Warners Bay. Using a variety of the weight machines with 3 sets of 15 reps as part of KC's routine.
2 PM

Gym Mayfield - Solo Treadmill 9:22 [1] 1.03 km (9:06 / km)
shoes: Saucony March 2015

Not actually Mayfield.
Genesis Warners Bay. Too tired to actually run so just walked.

Whilst the facilities of Genesis all good ... don't think I will be switching from the convenience and subsidised cost of Balance Mayfield.
