Run 5 km SA - Official Victor Harbor 26:22 [4] 5.0 km (5:16 / km)
(injured) shoes: Saucony March 2015

Fifth parkrun location in South Australia, 17th parkrun location to date, 26th parkrun in total.

Booked motel in Victor Harbor overnight to save the 1 1/2 hour drive prior to the run. Starting to think that going this far out of my way to get to 20 parkrun locations is getting ridiculous.

I still have Murray Bridge (a 53 minute and 75 km drive) left to go in SA. Then on my return to Newcastle it will be Singleton parkrun and the first opening of Raymond Terrace parkrun on 30th January to get me to the magic 20. Options after that of Tamworth (264 km - 3 hr 19 min), Port Macquarie (228 km - 2 hr 24 min) or Armidale (317 km - 3 hr 54 min) "probably" getting too much effort. Be better off knocking over some Sydney ones.

Out and back course along foreshore.
17 degrees with a seemingly 30 kmph headwind all the way out.
Wore a skivvy top it was so cold .... which I was regretting as overheating by the turnaround point.
And wind didn't seem to assist much on the way back.
Came 14th.

Joined the group for deluxe steak sandwich breakfast and chat afterwards at café.
10 AM

Walk - Bush 4:30:00 [3] 11.0 km (24:33 / km)
(injured) shoes: Salomons June 2014

Deep Creek Conservation park in South Australia after the parkrun.
Waterfall was bone dry which was to be expected after extended heatwave.
Very cool today so ideal conditions. Even got a brief sprinkling of rain.

Ridiculously steep in places and rated as "Hard for Experienced Hikers Only" on the parks website. They weren't kidding.

Coastal views, rocky coves and the occasional shingleback lizard.
Had a mattress and pillows in the back of station wagon in case I decided to stay out overnight ..... as had opportunity to go abseiling on Sunday .... but it got cancelled so I came back home.

Note
(injured)

Too stinking hot to go outside for any activity!

Drive down to Victor Harbor.
Detoured through Goolwa to Hindmarsh Island and to the mouth of the Murray River. Then back along the coast via Port Elliot and other small towns before booking into motel overnight.

Walk - Bush 1:09:39 [3] 4.11 km (16:57 / km)
(injured) shoes: Saucony March 2015

Onkaparinga Gorge in South Australia.

First time I can ever remember bailing on a bush walk.
50 m climb down into gorge and then it looked like massive climb back out the other side.
Very hot, no mobile coverage at all, and no one knew where I was.
So bailed out and hiked back up the 50 metres to the car.

Bike Ride - General 51:57 [3] 14.16 km (3:40 / km)

West Beach Surf Club north along the beach almost until West Lakes. Would have gone longer but bike had to be returned by 4:30 pm.
