8 am - 11 am
FINALLY got all boards laid which will be using the clips.
Still have four boards to lay using nails or screws (along edges of steps or up against walls where cannot viably use clip as no room to swing hammer).
An unbelievably long project. Still have to oil all the decking (once it has finished leaching out all the tanins - but brother can do that task) and refit all the handrails and stairway we had to remove to allow clearance to do the job (this is likely to be a nightmare just in itself).
If I ever go back and search for this entry in future - REMEMBER - do not volunteer to rebuild old wooden decks - especially when 3 stories off the ground.

On an actual sailing boat, with a crew of about 8 guys, competing in a race on Lake Macquarie. My involvement basically making sure I kept getting out of the way and occasionally pulling on a rope. Something completely different. I had no idea how much was involved and how complicated all the rigging and pulleys were.
Approximate times :
10:30 am - 12:30 pm
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The end is in sight!!!!
Very jealous reading about the Coffs Harbor competitors but I missed the deadline whilst in Adelaide and I couldn't be bothered driving up there solo, and trying my luck for long weekend accommodation, for enter on the day.
