Run 5 km NSW - Official Forster 28:05 [4] 5.0 km (5:37 / km)

Early morning getting picked up at Heatherbrae at 5:40 am to drive up with a couple of Wooters for some company.
Struggled on the course - must have been feeling the after affects of last nights trail run.
3 loop course on gravel with some mild hill climbs.
Paths a bit too narrow at times when people walking two or three abreast, or a person with a pram next to them, and with people trying to overtake and others on the return lap.
Breakfast with Wooters flock at the local beach café.
Back home by midday.

Orienteering - Street (Cooks Hill) 44:46 [3] 7.78 km (5:45 / km)

With the jokes last week in maceys log about Cooks Flat I expected some hills ... and not being familiar with the area was surprised to find almost no contours on the map.

Well set out course by Alex with no clear choice of which way to go and a multitude of potential ways to link up the controls. Expect routegadget will have no identical routes at all! Found the grid pattern a real challenge keeping track of where I was and was very happy at each control to find an answer "fit" meaning I was in the right location!

44:46 and 7.78 km for 21 Controls / 36 Points (1 Point x 10, 2 Point x 7, 3 Point x 4).
Happy enough with route and distance covered (and the fact that I could squeeze in and "in and out" to 1C on the way to the finish without copping a time penalty).

Looking forward to next week for the first use of my new map Aberglasslyn ... which was drawn up almost 3 years ago!
