every training should have an aim and today the aim was mainly to end up at the cafe at Fryksås. with Ross to start with, ended up half way to Oslo on the vägspår and got cold and tired on the way back. good fka though, well worth the effort! :-)

today marked a first in my high flying skiing career: i am now competent enough to ski with other people in Linne! so the first bit was with Karna and Charlotte, then by myself for the rest. out a bit longer but kept stopping to chat :-) the last 30mins felt a bit tough, i have no automatic ski motion so when im tired it's hard to keep form

thoroughly taped heel, was fine. the other one though, nope! tracks pretty worn out all over Hågadalen and Nåsten now.

more quality time on the treadmill! blisters behaving enough to complete the workout, have developed a milder skier's cough though (from the cold air), coughed a couple of times on the fastest intervals. should be okay.

perfect conditions today! if only the snow layer wasnt so thin, out round th top of Nåsten and Kung Björnspår (backwards) to Högbyhatt, then forest roads and track back through the forest. no place for good skis! and pretty slow going at the uneven far end. enjoyed it though, nice and quiet :-)

hmmm skiing has destroyed the skin on my heels, this was a bit painful. will have to see about hard running tomorrow but it might get better quickly. eventually got going a bit better anyway.

tough, but i think i had an easier time than Elisa, who was mainly being climbed on, and Amelie, who was struggling with a climbing frame that kept trying to exercise :-)

Note

was planning a little evening ski too but thought i'd be okay using just the wax left on from last time... no grip at all and i got pissed off pretty quickly and returned home. i guess you have to be familiar with skiing to know how frustrating it is to have no grip, it means every step you take instead of being able to kick off your ski just slides backwards. it's no fun unless you want to just push with your arms (i cant do this, i just come to a stop :-D )
oh well, more fuel in the tank for next week and it was a big week anyway!

nice long run with Linne in Nåsten. warmer today and managed to have too many layers but feels much more comfortable to train. nice mix of surfaces.
