Includes up to the gym for a lift. Tagged along with ba-ba's peak district trip, nice route around near Ladybower. A touch faster than i would have run on my own i think but thats no bad thing! Legs fine.

argh. went to intervals again aiming to start off not too fast and see how it went. at the start of the second my calf (right side, near the bottom) was suddenly really tight. i think it was a warning rather than a tear, we'll see. but i stopped right away and jogged home (even walked the uphill)... actually i think it's these shoes. i dont like them so much and its the first time ive run hard in them (i think??) ... my favourites (Kinvara) have a massive hole in the bottom now though, worn them right through, and new ones aren't arriving til friday. hmm. will consult Kim...

Three Shires, first Lakeland fells race! Definitely a big difference from other fell races ive done, spent lots of time crawling up steep hills. Legs in bits by half way round but just keeping going homewards. Drank from some streams (sorry dad...) and lost a bit of time on the runners around me by getting lost and not having the downhill strength but it was loads of fun! Not sure about overall position but happy to be second woman and definitely enough pain and hard work to earn the Sports drink :-D
