JK Long. added in some feeling a bit crap to the mix, nothing major but lacking some attack in the beginning of the race (not usually a problem!) ... had the same trouble as yesterday finding the things too, especially 1 and huge miss to 8 trying to find the right small paths among all the extra ones. drawing a complete blank til i saw tessa fly by, make or break moment as motivation was rock bottom but this was the chance to at least enjoy half of the race. ran together from then on, i felt like a really shit co-pilot cos i had so little idea what i was doing.

really tough weekend to realise i am lacking across the board with my racing. what's going wrong? thought i was training fine, have been feeling strong in recent weeks. not sure what to do or change.

JK middle. oh dear, can't blame this one on the SI air! made some extra distance for myself with plenty of wrong directions and faff. by the middle of the course i was struggling to keep motivated but managed at least to get stuck into the end, where it was more physical/hilly and less technical. maybe one where it would have helped to do some relevant training beforehand, but really if im not concentrated proberly it doesnt matter where i am. at least salvaged enough to sneak onto the podium today.

Orienteering - hard race 16:00 [4]

JK sprint. really have been nervous about this. quite rusty on the orienteering, it was simple but looking at the busy map seemed like hard work and i wasnt so confident. one place where i ran the wrong side of a building too, i think im switching off too easily and just running. it was maybe 20s? but still probably not as costly as having a run out battery on my SI Air and taking the 25 controls manually! so im quite disappointed with myself, but there's potential for later in the spring.

Morning jog round Tooting common before finishing my journey to the jk. Feeling a bit post-flight and post-curry but probably for the best i managed to resist the draw of the largest Chicken Cottage in europe.

Last session before the weekend. wanted to make it short, feel good and not dig right to the bottom of the tank. settled for 3 sets of 6, 4, 200 with ~90, 75, 2.30(!) recoveries. aiming for about 1.52, 74, 35 (took the strong wind so i had more tailwind on the 6's but the headwind on the 2's). worked okay after i was 2s slow on the first (still warming up?) and felt fine.

More compass training at Paradiset. Took it easy, breaking in new shoes. Not perfect but managed not to blow up like last time.

Flat jog round and about in hökarängen. Nice easy pace, what i needed. These shoes are also gonna be replaced this week, aboutctime when one now has a hole in the bottom as well as all the ones in the uppers. but nearly 200hrs, theyve earned retirement!
