SHI Relay, good start and managed to close all the gaps but then we hit some different forest. Didnt adapter so well and ran very badly for the rest, gave Tess a small head start but it should have been much more comfortable! But putting aside my own disappointment the team had a good day so we could finally win SHI, nice!

SHI on some boggy limestoney moorland. Really enjoyed the setting and most of the course but for whatever reason was a bit flat and never got past 3rd gear! Some time lost on the orienteering but mostly not so bad, pleased with some bits. just feeling the last few days training i think, but i had to get some done at some point!

30 x 30/30 up the canal. Chose this cos last time i did it i was still okay for an orienteering race the next day. Felt like it went loads better than last time, could be for a number of reasons looking back!

warm up along the canal (found you could cross at a lock gate about where i was going to turn, so along the small path in the forest on the other side back to Kirkstall - nice!) then up to the uni after the gym

Back to it, pre breakfast . Usual Kirkstall loop but only just grazed meanwood before coming back - not looking to do too many km this morning. There is no end to the places i can wrong turns round here... A mix of still being a bit tired and hungry but also road legs have been rested so still going okay. Chest / throat a bit tight tho, i think i was pushing hard enough at some time over the weekend to get a bit of the track hack!

6 hills on the danefield map, then the steep way up Chevin from the edge of town to finish - killer! Ages since i ran a hills session, maybe not as much pain as there could have been but a nice lung botherer between races.

complete junk day, i was a bad athlete yesterday and didnt eat so well after the race, so i was too hungry for a morning run, travelling and tired and with lots more work. end of season...
