still not feeling brill, mostly head again but starting to be a bit snotty. a bit better than yesterday tho so trying t get out and do something easy. small slow jog and set of eaier drills, some mobility. lots of stretching last night too and legs not feeling too bad at least.

So i was right about clashing yesterday, i woke up this morning a bit ill, heavy/fuzzy head and generally feeling shite. Took ages to drag myself out of bed. Time to rest if i was sensible but id entered Kistaloppet and there was potentially 4000kr at stake. Im strapped for cash as ever so popped some paracetamol and extra coffee and gave it a go anyway. Another case of competitive sport having absolutely nothing to do with health.

Anyhow as expected it didnt feel great but thanks to being lucky with who turned up it got the job done. Course was quite fun with about half on gravel, a bit through the shopping centre and some hills, twists and turns. Survived for the win but may the running gods have mercy on me now, i feel pretty shocking...

Nice easy day today, slept an extra hour then into town to take my class. Easier session too, lots of technique work and not so many intervals.

Pre breakfast snösätra plus making up a bit more distance. Not moving so quickly and conditions not the quickest either!

Mini session at the IP. Wanted to test my flats for hard running and work some higher gears but make sure i can recover properly in 48hrs. 5x800, manageable pace - a touch under 5km pace so i could use my watch to pace me every 200. Turned out there was football equipment to weave around on the straights too, not ideal but i still made the times no problem (consistent .39) and as would make sense after the last weeks, not digging too deep but rather a bit out of practice at this kind of running. 120 recoveries.

took a trip to Luffarligan cos it was at Vissätra and thought it would be a good way to get my hard orienteering session for the week done (5x8min/1min round the A course) which it was i suppose, except after making an effort to eat no meat for a whole day i was a bit too hungry to concentrate, which accentuated the usual problem of not orienteering as fast as im running. hard to know what i learnt really but still some analysis to do later for that. anyway i went home and ate a job lot of falukorv for lunch.

still, really enjoy a luffarligan! 5x strides after the course too.

Control picking with Louise in Svartvik (but we took the course in opposite directions). Went well to start with, fell apart in the middle but put it together somewhat at the end. one way to get the volume in... forgot how difficult it is to orienteer when it's getting dark!
