Fresh from a 5am start, Fredrikstad - Gardemoen - petrol station beakfast - training. Crashed Halden training again and this time i was both on time and refrained from making any absolutely huge mistakes. It was the training package a Guttersröd so i made myself some different gaffles. Only Lizzie to run with but it was worth going to the effort to get company! Got a bit lazy on the last couple. Dragged way too far off line again on one of the same bits as last time. Apart from that not too bad. Maybe a bit generous with the i4, they were long intervals. not feeling lightning fast yet but strength is there.

Easy at Gillingsrød. Some of the forests here are a bit scraggy but this one is an absolute babe. Shoe change to protect feet from further blisters, no problems. A bit of a faff about in some of the circles, need to make sure i find the safest sensible way in, but generally holding direction much better on the long legs.

All the way up at svestadtjern. Men's middle course as intervals, so i could practise more start legs. Start legs went well, long legs not so much. I was getting blisters as i went and so got more and more distracted and less capable. Not my best work but learnt a bit. Also was expecting really quick forest for the distance the courses were but i think it was maybe just a bit overplanned. Or i was running particularly craply.

Not as planned, woke up with a lot of pain, two hours to eat breakfast. No chance of anything useful! Felt a bit better later so ventured out but only managed this before i felt just as bad again. Urgh, i can rearrange the week but had hoped to spend the recovery time having a little bit more fun than this!

Middle training at Sklleborg, plus a bit of a jog up to the start. Started easy breaking in my other new shoes, felt fine after half the course so some with a little bit more gas after that. Two main mistakes, after the start (again!) and after a little pause, something to work on next time...

Very pleased with my foot these first sessions. still a day off it tomorrow but hopefully can be a little more daring later in the camp.
