Beauty day for a ride outside. Started out trying to make a go of it in Hilton Falls but it was way too slushy in there so pulled out and did a road ride. Up to Eden Mills had a tough headwind but reaped it on the way back.

Dipped into the SW portion of Hilton Falls area, mostly Brown and Blue trails. Conditions were ok in most spots but crappy/slushy in more exposed parts. On my way out say a coyote or wolf (?) not more than 100m away on the other side of a bike bridge (this is the same area I heard them howling a few weeks ago). Snapped a quick shot but couldn't get a decent photo before it scurried off.

This guy was pretty big that is why I wonder if it could be a wolf. With the sun almost set, I was pretty quick to get out of there after this sighting. Similiar to thomass races while dusting phatty, I took a few quick glances behind me on the way out.

That makes 3 coyote or wolf sightings this year. Apparently Ontario is considering a coyote hunt with bounty to help control the population.
