Thought I’d have bash at something ’faster’ so a XC session round the field at Eccy Woods. 5, 5, 4, 4mins (75s).
10min warm up, then into the faster stuff. Paces of 6:17, 6:25, 6:31, and 6:12 . Rapid!
Was thinking while warming up that the ground was a bit hard and that some mud would be welcome. After the first rep the skies became black, lightning, thunder, hail and rain so thick you could only see 20m in front, I was absolutely piss wet through. The lightning was bang overhead and it was a bit exposed running round an open field! Ground it out and then jumped in the car, It would have been nice to finish the session with 3min x2 and 2min x2, but I’d only half expected to do it all with decent weather.
