Orienteering race (JK Day 2 (M21S)) 1:17:51 [3] 10.0 km (7:47 / km)
shoes: VJ Irocks

Much better underfoot today and nav was similar - drifted on the long leg again and was completely unconnected with map but relocated eventually, saw a really simple path route after which would have made a 20min faff about and crossing 'mordor' into a nice easy dip in instead. Rest of the course was good and physical.

Orienteering race (Jk Day 1 - M21S) 1:28:54 [4] 10.7 km (8:19 / km)
shoes: VJ Irocks

Tough day today - very physical and rough underfoot and my body wasn't up for it at all

Did NO.1 clean but completely overshot 2 An blew a good 12-13 min on it, stupid really as once corrected and returned to 1 to redo took it cleanly, remainder of course wasn't clean but ok - bearings seemed to be drifting slightly but ticking off worked ok.

Main problem was the physicality and the fact in wasn't in the right ballpark

Body aching now

Event: JK 2014

Orienteering (Jk Sprint) 17:03 [3] 3.69 km (4:37 / km)
shoes: Adistar Boost - Blue

Overall enjoyed this race.

Due to traffic on the M4 missed my start so went off 10min after courses close, so it was fairly quiet out on the area.

Very happy with No.1 figured out which two features the control could be on and spotted a good route while in the start lanes and worked a treat.

Had planned the exit into the wooded bit too from the pen as there were only two options so all good so far, then just got scrappy although never that bad - not seen splits yet but couldn't have dropped more than 20 secs to errors just hesitations and bring slow.

Speed and fitness were the key factors in this race for me and at the moment have very little of either.
