Orienteering race (WCH Club champs) 1:03:14 [3] 9.6 km (6:35 / km) +167m 6:04 / km
shoes: Inov8 - 2nd pair

Dramas with a map version issue meant course wasn't quite right but results were as expected, Stampy took the win and I was second.

Surprisingly though I took the Open handicap win, so happy with that.

Enjoyable run, but need to get fitter.

Orienteering race (ChasersNight O 4) 43:26 [4] 8.4 km (5:10 / km) +47m 5:02 / km
shoes: Inov8 - 2nd pair

Good race over in Barton, went out pretty hard and was happy with the pace considering current fitness levels.

In hindsight the route chosen was sub optimal in planning and then fell apart when deeply committed as there was an un-crossable fence which meant a long dog leg round and then instead of taking the sensible call and sweeping in to collect the near ones, pushed for the full set and so ended up dropping two of the easier ones and coming in close to 4 minutes late.

Which meant although took the top score, the penalties took me back to 5th place.
good race and mixed the standings up nicely.

Running warm up/down 9:27 [3] 1.7 km (5:34 / km) +2m 5:32 / km
shoes: Inov8 - 2nd pair

easy warm up to start of the race

Running 46:07 [4] 8.0 km (5:46 / km) +159m 5:15 / km
shoes: Inov8 - 2nd pair

Plan was to have a bit of a headtorcher through the woods, so hit Pinetrees hill up to the top then dropped down on the bike track to get a bit of technical in, however shit myself up when a grouse came out of the undergrowth, so bottled it and did a few reps of pinewoods instead.

Picked up 9th place on the Pinetrees Path strava segment
