Island Lake in Lamoille Canyon after decent van sleep at ~8000'. Was able to run a bit the first 2mi, then low back was screaming. Walk back down was fine. Such a pretty canyon. Beat the crowds to/ from the lake too. Nice morning.

Legs didn't feel great at the start but head up Millcreek Cyn anyway. Forgot to hit lap button. Just went easy but legs came around. Wasatch/ Holladay loop after descent.

Up Grandeur in 52 flat. Would've been a few seconds faster but I had to dodge a snake on the summit. Never seen one up there. Psyched to see the times come down w/out really trying. Mellow (but faster) on the down, up P line-down rd- Thayne-Deso baby loop to finish. Only 200mg ibu today. PF felt ok overall but got kinda mad the last mile. Encouraging run though, esp sustained jogging on the P line and a 7:38 rd mile (aided).

Up Grandeur in 53:40 (16:04, 15:53, 18:09, 3:33), which is cool. Legs getting better. Descent was good. Low back a little stiff but ok. Legs turning over better. Had the mountain to myself until last mile.

Slept poorly. 400mg ibu, just in case. I think my back and hips are just taking longer to de-stiffen out of bed in general. Need to try a run w/out ibu this week.

Rode from Midway to Deer Creek gravel then the junk show began for the next hour or 2 of hiking up and down steep AF choss baby skull BS. Eventually got on decent, but still chunky, double to pavement at Cascade Springs. Kind of a bust of a day as far as getting in a long ride. At least no crashes, mechanicals, or confrontations.

Thayne-w/ out and back toward Neff's, then BCC, til deep snow, down Deso. w/ B. Body did fine. Some low back tightness but nothing new. 400mg ib w/ b'fast.
