Other Aerobic (Elliptical Trainer) 25:00 [3]
(injured)

At 125-150 Watts. Did it in a squat for 2x45 seconds. Wow does that burn the quads.

Plus 2x10x4 foot/achilles eccentrics, and the floor foot/ankle stuff, then ice.

While walking there in orthotics, my R foot felt totally 100% normal almost the whole way, but I was probably limping a little...
While walking back (and doing the foot/achilles stuff) I noticed a mild burn on the R foot outside bottom center (normal spot). However, after the ice, my foot felt totally normal barefoot in the house for a little.

Seems like progress. Darn slow, but progress. Hopefully I'll be running by some time in March, and racing by April.

Strength 1:00 [1]
(injured)

As of 6 pm
Foot ex. 2x10x4 ex. in AM. Heat/Iced x2.

Walking 20:00 [1] 0.5 mi (39:59 / mi)
(injured)

Misc. walking around a museum. Foot got kinda sore in the normal spot and a little achy at one point. It's not quite the same pain, hopefully that means it's progressing into something better...

Other Aerobic (Elliptical Trainer) 25:00 [3]
(injured)

At ~150 watts setting.

Plus did AM and PM 2x10x4 + stretch/air ex.
The main 4 are achilles eccentric, straight, knee-bent, and straight w/foot diagonal left and right.

R-foot is a little generally sore from the workouts, and still some local pain near bottom center right when walking barefoot. Less, but still there in orthotics.

Note

After last foot workout and ice, R-foot felt near normal last night. This morning it was lighlty sore while walking barefoot and in orthotics, and very lightly sore while sitting. Now I'm off to the gym.

Other Aerobic (Elliptical trainer) 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Alternated between 100W & 200W.

Note

It was raining on the 4th, which has often made other tendinitis issues flare up, and my foot is much better today, so I think (hope?) yesterday's issues were largely weather related.

Still, progress is extremely slow, but I don't appear to have gotten worse.

Other Aerobic (Exercise Bike) 12:00 [3]
(injured)

Level 5 only.
Then did a moderate set of weights, incl. hip squats.

AM (after bike) did 2x15x3 exercises (straight, bent-knee and diagonal) and repeated in late PM.

Iced after exercises. And did a few hot/cold alternation things.

Other Aerobic (Exercise Bike) 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Mostly level 5, with a few 60-90 bits at level 7. Then did 3x15x2 exercises (straight & diagonal.)

The bad news is that my foot was darn sore walking to the gym. I walked to the gym on the sidewalk (longer) with non-orthotics for the last two days... It's about a 4 minute walk, slighly downhill. Yesterday was okay, today I tried to walk without a limp and after two minutes I had to stop and rest due to pain. AAAffghh&*$%@!!

This sucks. Maybe I should go see another podiatrist. Couldn't hurt.

I warmed it up with hot water before starting, which is supposedly a good thing, but perhaps the no-limp no-orthotic combo was just too much for it.

In the meantime, I'm sitting here icing after this exercise in case the last few days of heat-only were bad. This is so frustrating.

Walking 8:00 [1] 0.23 mi (34:48 / mi) +25m 26:01 / mi
(injured)

Warmup & cooldown, in non-orthotics. R-foot slightly sore on a few steps in the middle of walk but not by end.

Other Aerobic (Exercise Bike) 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Levels 5/6/5. Then did weights & then 3x15x2ex (calf straight & diagonal for ankle/calf, still avoiding bent-knee calf due to earlier pain.)
