ahr:135 max:147 shoes: R-NB 891's

Up a chunk of Mt. Misery and back. Knee a little better today. I plan to do ~30-60 minute easy runs this week hoping this subsides, doing some clock squats, pineapple on R-IT, and stretches incl. extra for the R-IT.

L-knee inside pretty sore - enough to cut this run short. Played in the Piano Pool with the kids for about 2 hours - even that was a bit sore on the knee, but it was much more fun. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=disney's+all+s...

My only long run in Orlando - R-knee not really happy - not preventing the run, but definitely feeling like I was wearing it out...

Note

My 3 ½ month streak (a run every day) came to an end today ? it was 10pm when I was finally possibly ready, but then I put AJ to bed in the hotel and fell asleep with him. I even had laid out clothes and then heard my alarm go off at 11pm but I really didn't want to get up to go run...

Running 34:50 [2] 6.01 km (5:48 / km) +17m 5:43 / km

1st day of 6 at Disney Orlando. Took the bus to the Magic Kingdom with our family & Lena/Sergei?s family. It was a great day to walk around the park ? lines were typically 10-20 minutes, ex. the ?major? rides, and for those there was Fast Pass. AJ has a long running cough/cold, or allergies, we?re not sure, and was exhausted by 3pm, so we went back to the hotel (about an hour?s travel by train and bus with a lot of walking in between.) Both of us took a nap from about 4-6, had dinner, then returned to the park where we caught the ?Wishes? fireworks show at 8 meeting up with Angelica & Oriana. About 9, they left, and AJ & I continued on until after 10. 8-11pm tonight was ?extra magic hours? where people staying at Disney resorts can stay at the park for extra hours ? that, and the hour of the night, had thinned the crowd nicely, so we managed to hit the Thunder Mtn. RR 3 times, as it had less than a 10 minute line (vs. during the day when the line was up to 50 minutes).

At 11:30pm, after all were asleep, I ran a loop at All-Star Movies, and one at All-Star Sports, making up a bit of Sprint orienteering with the resort maps, 10 controls on the first map, 30 on the 2nd.

My R-knee has been sore now for several days, the inside edge pain that I had a year and a half ago. I need to read again how I fixed that, but last night I recall the pillow between the legs while sleeping thing, and that seems to have helped. It was still sore today, but it was less sharp and more general swollen knee and sore calf going on, as perhaps the immediate damage it reduced, but the residue is working itself out. I?m a bit nervous about this specific point of injury, as I learned this Thanksgiving that both my Uncle and Grandfather can?t run because they are ?bone-on-bone? at that exact spot? I?d like to avoid that for a bit longer if possible, so aligning the hips will should help. If I don?t get it better myself by the end of this week, I think I should go discuss things with Val.

My R-hamstring is a bit sore too, since the ice water intervals I think. I presume that should heal on it?s own.
