Orienteering race (State League #4) 1:12:27 [4] **** 12.0 km (6:02 / km)
25c shoes: Salomon S-Lab Fellcross 2

A little scrappy at the beginning and just before the spectator. Stuffed my exit from 12 and managed to almost go off the map while on a track. Decided on a more ambitious route to 15 and almost got it perfect, although thought I was further along a track than I actually was, but no big deal, not a critical part of the route. Felt pretty strong running, but as Greg Barbour pointed out, I probably should have taken some more aggressive route choices.

Good course, but completely stuffed 5 and 13 and didn't do 15 so well.

Abernathy training course. Need to work on using my compass more, especially in the complex gullies and across vague areas.

Running (Lazer Tag - Maitland Gaol) 45:00 [3]

Second time playing here. As fun as last time. Green team won 4-1, including an absolute thrashing in one game.

Training course at Kitchener. Not massively difficult navigation, although slightly complex along the creeks. Jock tried to show something similar to what we will get at the schools champs in Vic.

Time/distance an estimate. Another course, doing pairs map memory exercise. Didn't manage to do the first few controls correctly but got into the flow towards the end.
