Run 2:20:23 [2] 14.0 mi (10:02 / mi)
shoes: Inov-8 295's

home to hcm trails with htrex. felt better today than last week, but still a bit fatigued. cool temps but close to 100% humidity. got rained on at the end. very wet and lots of water crossings. calculated on actual running time. stopped the watch every time we stopped. mileage from 2 different gps says we did 9.5 plus my 3.5 early.

very nice coral snake on the trail and 3 rabbits. all on green.

Run 1:15:19 [2] 8.5 mi (8:52 / mi)

Memorial x2. recovery run with three walk breaks. alternated between feeling really fatigued and pretty good. just slow and easy.

Run 1:00:00 [3] 5.5 mi (10:55 / mi)
shoes: Asics Hyper Speed 4

KW - two mile time trial. just didn't have it today. not good at all. maybe monday took more out of me than i thought.

mile 1 - 7:29
mile 2 - 7:19

still, the course was at Spotts park with two uphill parts on the two switchback sections on both sides of the park. i realize these uphills aren't real hills but compared to one's time on a flat surface there's a significant difference. Anyway, gives me plenty of room for improvement. also, keeping my eyes on the real goal... 50+ mile races. keeping myself injury free, running daily, and higher mileage is key.

Home-sabine. relaxed recovery run with a little bit of walking here and there. HOT! So bloody hot.

Run 1:00:00 [3] 7.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Hyper Speed 4

KW- 4 mile progressive run (with no rest - just straight through).

1 - 7:57
2 - 7:29
3 - 7:10
4 - 6:45

everything felt good. weather was good. very good day. KW defines the progressive workout as getting 15-30 seconds faster per mile. Although, I'd have been happy with just running a couple of seconds faster per mile, it felt really, really good to hit the workout right as it was intended.
