Run 1:57:49 [2] 11.0 mi (10:43 / mi)
shoes: Altra Instinct 1.5

LB/Green/Sabine w/Miles. For the record, it was Miles's stupid idea to start with Green, after which, everything went to shit. Ridiculously humid, miserably hot, and that was all before the sun was up. We went deep into the suck but made it back just before I passed out.

Memorial w/ Gordy. Felt better (slightly) this morning but it was a very short run. Negative split.

Run 57:43 [2] 6.0 mi (9:37 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Pure Drift - Blue

Memorial. 9am. If Saturday was the best running day I've had since try to start running again, then today was easily the worst. In fact, it may have been the single worst running experience I've ever had. I don't know what combination of the otherworldly humidity, the cumulative lack of sleep over the last 4-5 days, my iffy stomach, stress and just tired legs, caused today's breakdown but it doesn't matter. Because if I have another day as bad as today or worse, I'll simply hang it up. I won't run another f-ing step until what passes for winter in this hell-hole makes an appearance.

On about 4 different occasions, I had to just stop and sit or stand in the shade, turn the watch off, and try to breathe. I tried to run 8/2's after that but starting about mile 4 all I could manage were 3/2's. Then, once I got back to Blossom and Crestwood all I could do was run one block, then walk one block, all the way home, about .77 miles.
