Note

Feeling so weak after Poland, never found the good feeling again.
Went to the doctor on monday, he called me today and said I had lack of somewhat all vitamines and minerals. No serious shortages expect for iron. Medications should keep me on track, finally in one straight line to jwoc? Let's hope so.

Did some 40' cycling to get some stuff in Oostmalle for my last schooltask. First wanted to run it (14k) but after 4h of orienteering past 7days, my knee and achilles needed some rest, no overall tiredness anymore though. Trying to find a balance between univ and running the coming month, so I can still increase my shape for jwoc.

Very bad race, mistakes to 3th, 6th and 8th, and that's were Jan Gilot caught me (started 1' behind), he took the lead because the feeling was awfull, still not fully recuperated from the weekend I think. Again a big mistake to the 11th, were it was way greener than on the map. To the 14th Jan was going too far to the right, I took the lead again and tried to push hard, but big mistakes again to the 18th and 20th control took away my mood, jogged the rest of the course without big mistakes.

First controls went smoothly, lots of confidence, but at control 9 I was 100% sure of me being rght, but of course I was wrong, looking in the wrong valley for over 7'. Lost motivation there took it a bit easier on the rest of the course but tried to orienteer well. Succeeded in that except for a small mistake at 19. At the finish line, I noticed I was DSQ, forgot control 5, was not at all aware of this during my race, but ok, it's not jwoc yet and at least I got some confidence the last few days.

Had to run the 3th leg, Toon got injured again during his run so I took it really easy. One really big mistake of 6' due to lack of concentration on the easiest ctrl of whole the course. The others went smoothly.

Lots of mistakes and wrong routechoices, course was just running around all the time, stopped pushing after so many mistakes but tried to keep a nice speed.

Result: 5th
Started fast, 1' behind Tomas H. , 1' ahead of Desmond.
Lost some time at control 3 (looks like everybody did), control 5 and 15, then I saw Desmond coming, he caught me at control 18 were I made a small mistake again, tried to keep up with his speed but went over my limit on the roads. Then I made mistakes to every control from 24 till 27. Should not have tried to follow Des and run my own race, would have been way better because Desmond screwed up as hard as I did the last controls.

Apparently I was way too late and the start was already gone. Fast warm up, did course 1 without Emit.

Plan was to do the even full and the uneven controls easy, instead I did the short legs easy, and the longer ones fast, except for 21, the worst leg ever. Didn't touch the controls but always came up to 5 - 10m, skipped control 15 because it was ridiculous too.
