In the first round we ran together in a big group (about 10people), I always ran 3th - 4th, felt not too fast. There was 1 guy ahead but knew he only did 1 round. Because I was feeling strong I took the lead after about 2.5km but that was a very bad idea. There were still many runners 'freewheeling' in my trace. After 1 round, there were 4guys running away from me, and the rest of us were all separated behind. Was suffering hard in the 2nd round and still 2guys overtook me, so got 7th. If I had just kept running around 4th spot, i maybe would have been able to follow longer. I remember this for the future: never take the lead before the very last part.
Btw, first round was against 11'40" :)

On Saturday I wanted to do a long run but after already about 2k I felt a very intense pain, felt like a strain. Intensive ice treatment for 2days, took it really easy today, didn't feel anything. Still going to take it easy for a few days, on friday I will run the 6.6km in Brecht. Last 2years I did the 9.9, but I'm aiming for jwoc middle and think that's a better preparation. If this goes well I'm confident enough to train hard again.
