Orienteering race (WRE) 36:38 [5] **** 6.9 km (5:19 / km)

Sylvester day 4 - Sonnisheide WRE
Class: H21
Results: 10th/57: http://www.helga-o.com/webres/index.php?lauf=427#H...
Splits: http://www.helga-o.com/webres/splits/splitsbrowser...
Map (Desmond): http://toonmelis.com/doma/show_map.php?user=Desmon...

Had to start early and was quiet unsure of my shape and how to behave in the technical part. Lost 25" to the 2nd control because I got left of the marsh by accident and it was all flooded so had to make a small detour.
Another 25" to both the 7th and 8th control.
The whole technical part I took it quiet easy to make sure I wouldn't lose contact with the map. A 10th spot is not bad with the current shape but running full speed and just trust my compass would have been better because the legs were short and you could see most of the controls from far away.

Fun course and map to end 2012!

Had a few bad nights in a row, not used to it and felt horrible today.
Normally I feel great in the mud but today I had to fight my way through it.

Off road running 53:20 [3] 11.0 km (4:51 / km)

My dad was running on the hard surface and me on the new separate horse track. (White sand, flooded areas...)
Being able to do these trainings 'easily' was the first goal. Any other goals may follow later. ;)
