Cold Morning Ride, trying to stretch and shake out legs from yesterday, not feeling it as it is very cold 41 when I started at my house next to beach, just could not get into it, but was able to shake out legs and felt little better on my way home.

Morning Ride with Greg W, GMR to East Fork rd to Crystal Lake and back over GMR, VERY COLD!!

This was probably one of the coldest rides I've ever been on. The wind blowing up to 40-50+ coming through East Fork Rd and the Temp 29, wind chill was a KILLER!!!! The head wind climbing up Hwy 39 all the way to Crystal Lake was unreal, very tough day to say the least, there so many times the little voice kept saying turnaround and go home and bag the ride. Was happy we made it to the store, Greg and I had a little chili to warm us up. Good old government shutdown had bathrooms closed, but the owner of the store was able to open one as along as he maintains it. Very cold on our decent my teeth and every joint in my body was feeling it. The 404's were not the best choice of wheels for today, with winds blowing me all over the place. Just glad I made it home and time for a warm shower and hot meal.

Glendora Middle School to Mt Baldy Ski Lifts

Rode with Greg W and Royce this morning, wasn't feeling the ride from the start, but began to loosen a little after 45 minutes to an hour. Greg W kept me in check the entire ride. Royce ending up stopping at the Village and Greg and I push on. Right before the first switchback I was feeling horrible and was ready to turnaround, stopped for about a minute to gather myself and then I just got into a better mind set and caught back up with Greg at the final switchback and rode together until the last 1/2 mile to the sign I began to pull away but my HR was very elevated. It's crazy how out of shape I am and having to put out more watts with the 5-7 extra LBS I"m carrying. Well I will try and keep things in check until the holidays are over and then dial things back in.
