Peddlers Fork Ride

Art and I started off just up the street from Peddlers getting on it early, did not know the area well and kinda flew by the seat of our pants, which makes it a great adventure!! Saw The God Father of the DCers Mr Slater and his Pro Eco Crew hammer up one of our climbs, Art and I kinda took the wrong route, but the hard route which made it worth it, as we know we will come back and benchmark it in a few months, ALL in ALL climb just a shade under 10k, things can only get better with time!!! Had nice late lunch with Art, Gerry, Slater, Eric and a few others at Peddlers, Great Group of People :)

Well the plan was to ride bottom of Hwy 39 to Dawson's Saddle, back down to East Fork Rd turn left and go to GMR, up to Baldy Rd to the Baldy Village and back down GMR to East Fork Rd to Hwy 39 to car... Made it!!!

Took off around 5:50am and made it to Crystal Lake Turn off around 1:49:00, had to take it easy past there and jump over 3 gates total and dodge rocks all the way to the saddle, really sucked coming back down, you really need to pay ATTENTION!! I almost went down on the decent, I hate shaded areas of the road, hard to see the rocks.... Made my first pit stop at Camp Williams Cafe to refuel and they pushed onto Baldy Village. I asked people nicely 3x if they could move so I could get water at the restaurant out front and the person was really rude, so I was rude back and cranky and tired and wasn't going to put up with peoples shit at this time!! Once I left I had to make a pit stop again at Camp Williams Cafe to refuel my bottles and took off my cleats as my feet were on fire!!, waiting about 5 minutes and I was good to go. My power meter shut off on me with 6 miles to go. The Garmin Phoenix 3 pulled in 110.8 14K+ft, 7:47:00 when I got to the car. Very warm too.
