Orienteering warm up/down 16:31 [2] 1.42 km (11:37 / km) +72m 9:16 / km
shoes: Oroc 340

Orienteering race (TVOC Hambleden) 1:27:19 [4] **** 14.48 km (6:02 / km) +369m 5:21 / km
shoes: Oroc 340

Nice area, and well planned (well, very good route choice legs across the valleys, not sure about the pit hunting, but that's hardly unique). Started well, but felt tired (yesterday was first run for almost 2 weeks thanks to a bad bug) and faded unfortunately. Graeme caught me at the start of the long leg, and was clearly running much better than I was. He lost me a third of the way into the leg. I quite liked my route, but didn't like missing the flag, set against a line of rhododenrons, for 90-120 secs from a path bend attack point 200m away :( Am guessing from emit results that I'll miss the Championshp standard by about the 8 secs that Richard took out of me on the run-in, so glad that I didn't bother using an entire Sunday heading to Sheringham last month! :)

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [2] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: LunarGilde II

12 PM

Orienteering race (JOK Prologue) 22:11 [4] *** 3.8 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Oroc 340

OK run. Very tired up the hill into the finish field. Probably lost about 20-25 secs there, otherwise pretty much clean and quick.
2 PM

Orienteering race (JOK Chase) 19:20 intensity: (5:51 @0) + (1:01 @1) + (4:21 @2) + (1:46 @3) + (3:31 @4) + (2:50 @5) *** 3.38 km (5:43 / km) +107m 4:56 / km
ahr:143 max:204 shoes: Oroc 340

Very little left in the tank for the chase. Ran hard off the line in a bid to catch Mark and perhaps Graeme. Ended up getting up to Mark, but really didn't fancy pushing myself up the several hill climbs, and ended up giving up the two places I gained. Thought about battling Mark up the field from the last control, but quickly thought better of it.
