Orienteering race (TVOC Hambleden) 1:27:19 [4] **** 14.48 km (6:02 / km) +369m 5:21 / km

Nice area, and well planned (well, very good route choice legs across the valleys, not sure about the pit hunting, but that's hardly unique). Started well, but felt tired (yesterday was first run for almost 2 weeks thanks to a bad bug) and faded unfortunately. Graeme caught me at the start of the long leg, and was clearly running much better than I was. He lost me a third of the way into the leg. I quite liked my route, but didn't like missing the flag, set against a line of rhododenrons, for 90-120 secs from a path bend attack point 200m away :( Am guessing from emit results that I'll miss the Championshp standard by about the 8 secs that Richard took out of me on the run-in, so glad that I didn't bother using an entire Sunday heading to Sheringham last month! :)
