XC skiing 45:00 [1] *
slept:6.0

Aujourd'hui.
Didn't sleep well at all last night. Kept tossing and turning thinking about Settlers of Catan. Not my perky self this morning. However, went XC skiing at Great Brook Farms with Cristina, Caroline, and Melissa. The skies were steel gray and the ground heavy with snow. Skied for 45 minutes; nobody back; waited for a bit; went to the car to get warm. Waited for another hour. Bring a book next time. Got home around 3:30; raided refrigerator; took hot shower; rubbed on some lavender oil; ate guacamole; feel MUCH better.
Hier.
Trained around the kitchen island. I specialize in ACees or artery cloggers. So this was the menu: meatloaf wrapped in pastry, carrots braised in butter and simmered in cream; potatoes Anna; cheesecake; bread pudding. Just my kind of day.

Walking (Trail) 1:15:00 [1]

We (Cristina, Caroline and I ) parked at the Hop Brook Marsh entrance of Memorial Forest and decided to meet up at the car after a 40 minute run/walk. But - I forgot to start my fancy watch, had no idea of the time, and was gone instead for 1hr 15 minutes. Cristina and Caroline were rightly worried since it was icy and bitterly cold and it was getting dark. As I approached the car, I heard Cristina yell something to Caroline that sounded like "She's here! Tell the police she's back!". They had called 911 to come rescue me. Wow. Life IS exciting. Even without a dog.

Walking (Trail) 34:00 [1] 1.2 mi (28:20 / mi)
ahr:115 max:151

Accompanied Cristina on her run at Nobscot Reservation. Stayed on trails because it was icy, muddy, sloshy, wet, and slippery and that I was wearing my 20 year old tennis shoes. Caroline came along but we took different routes. Not too cold, but rain turned to slush soon. If only I had a dog to walk with me!
