Still recovering, swelling is almost all gone, right calf/ankle sore when I first get out of bed, but feels better once I walk around on it.

Still recovering, feeling much better. Swelling is down, pain is minimal, mostly just tightness in right calf/ankle...quads feel good.

Feel much better today. Quads only slightly sore, right calf/ankle are still swollen, but not as sore, I think I'm actually walking almost normal again. After I donate blood today, I think I'll use a little Aleve and see if that helps with the swelling.

Feeling better, quads less sore, but right calf/ankle are still swollen and sore...hurts to put weight on it. Soaked the ankle twice in ice water and it felt better after each soaking.

Very sore day after race, quads and right ankle/calf hurt the most...sunday night when I got home I noticed alot of swelling in my right leg, knee, calf and ankle. Took a ice bath, and it felt better. I weighed myself sunday night and I gained over 5 pounds since last weigh-in, probably water retention.

Laurel Highlands; hot and humid

Great race, very pleased with how I paced, fueled, hydrated, etc. My right calf/achilles started hurting at around 15 miles in, but it was never sore enough to alter my gait, and I was able to tune out the pain and run steady. I probably could have jogged more through the end of the race, but once it got dark, my lone headlamp was not enough to judge the rocks on trail and I was stubbing my toes continuously and fell once, so I walked the majority of the last 5 miles. Definitely have to try to get more light for future night trail ventures.

Ok run, pain again in right calf, started much earlier in run, and seems to hurt most when climbing hills...other than that it was a decent run. Taking tomorrow off, I'll see how it feels on sunday.
