24 deg. Started at 1:20 pm; Smith Hill road-Around Bunnells Pond-Garretts Hill road-Brook road (did a very short out and back near G.Hill intersection)

Good run to shake off the tightness. Felt sluggish at times, but ran all the uphills. Wouldn't have normally ran, just had an itch to get out this afternoon.

Watchung Winter 50k; 20s (upper 20s by end)

Very rough course, snow covering ice; many "previous" footprints frozen over and very little stable footing.

Overall I ran a decent race. Messed up by not taking endurolytes and drinking just water for the later half of race as my right hamstring seized with about 2 miles to go. Had to stop and rub/stretch it out then walk until it loosened up again...lesson learned. Very good workout and I feel my condition is very good heading toward Beast of Burden.

Excellent run, actually surprised at my pace. I was pushing myself to run a little harder, didn't think it was that fast. Big difference running fully awake at night than early in the morning only about 30% awake.

Very good run, legs felt good even after long run yesterday.
