shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3 cs + BFS
Another year of RockstAR with Amber! With humidity in the 40s !! this was bound to be interesting for someone who thinks 25C is a hot day :).
After the paddle start and one loop around the lake the plan was to to leave the canoe on the beach and pick up CP 71 then up to the trail and loop pack on Lakota. Well we never found 71 and after over an hour of bushwhacking and getting turned around we headed back to the beach to re-group, cool down and get out of the horrendous amounts of FDFs.
I was feeling chilly several times throughout the day which is an early warning sign for me so we had to slow this down and spent as much time on or near the water, doing the fun checkpoints, hanging out at the hub for snacks, chatting, enjoying the day and stopped after about 5 hours as there was nothing more to do close by.
Lovely catching up with AR friends in the evening and re-hydrating with a drink or two...
As always thanks to Storm, Browner and their amazing crew! I can only imagine the additional stress conditions like this put on everyone.
