So this was one of the hardest races I have every ran. My god if I got last on the first 6 controls I would hevr been so lost and not able to find my self. I know I took long but my goal was to not loss contact with the map and it happened. I kow the second leg took me 30 minutes but I was a really hard leg and I am so happy I got through it :)

o-training 2:00:00 [2] 2.0 km (1:00:00 / km)
(injured)

So in the morning we did a contor training to get us ready for the middle and long. It was okay I messed up once but I took it really slow because I really need my ankle for the rest of the week.

o-training 1:30:00 [1] 1.5 km (1:00:00 / km)
(injured)

So In the after was a sprint and model but my ankle was not up to it so I just walked the model and checked out my surroundings. Learned some new features.

o-training 30:00 [2] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)
(injured)

So we did a night on in a park right beside are dorms. It was my first night-o and it was really fun. A good head lamp makes a big difference. I didn't have any problems.

Monday Aug 16, 2010 #

o-race race 1:04:43 [4] 2.9 km (22:19 / km)
(injured)

So this race was the classic event and it was pretty good. Again I ran intermidite. I screwed up one or two controls and didn't have the best route choice for one leg. It was following a creek down a hill side and of course I rolled my ankle. I was not that happy with this race.

o-training 1:00:00 [4]

So training tonight was at war egale. We started off with a line-o. It was really easy. We then ran to the start of the butterfly loops. I did really good I only messed up sort of on one control and it was because of bad route choice. After we did another line-o and the first half was perfect the second half I got lost found out were I was and took a different way back.

6 AM

meet race 40:00 [4] 0.5 km (1:20:00 / km)

So this meet was made possible by pam and joe. It was a really good course but I'm so mad becasue I messed up on one then I found it was just in the next depression. Then two I went to the two depressions to the hill side and followed it but no control so relocate. Do that a few more times still no control. Spend about 35-40 minutes looking for it and after that I said screw it and headed back. When I was heading back I followed my route there and it matched the map. I find out later that it was down a contor. So mad after that race. First race or meet I have never finished.

7 AM

o-training 1:30:00 [2] 2.0 km (45:00 / km)

so tonight was the follow john excercies. So you where in partners and one had the map and one didn't.so the first person would look at the map and try and simplify the route. Once they had it down they give the map to the other person and go. Well one person is running the person with the map is looking at there leg and makeing sure the other person is going the right way. When the first person got to the control they take the map from the other person. I did pretty good on my leg I followed the re-entres up to the path and then went to the hill top on the other side of the path. Then a took a baring from there. I was doing good and when I thought I was near I noticed the terrain was a little off so I went right a little and found it.
