Went to the podiatrist today...what I have is tarsal tunnel syndrome, not plantar fasciitis. The good news is that he gave me a cortisone shot and a referral to PT, so hopefully I have a plan in place to get better. The bad news is that I am not supposed to do anything except swim (no hiking, biking, running, climbing, elliptical, anything!!) for a month or two. We'll see if that happens.
