"Ultra pace" run to the lake. Good day to go slow since I ran into a herd of elk on the way to the lake and herds of people at the lake. Felt pretty good today.

Longer flatter run with Holly on the Highline. It was pretty hot in Denver (at least by my standards)...about 80 when we finished up. The dogs did really well despite the heat. Last 30 minutes were at about marathon pace. Ankle felt OK. There were a couple of short water stops for the dogs included in the time - Holly needed to get to work so I didn't stop the watch.

Threshold VO2 combo workout on TM. 10 min WU, a few strides, then 15 min tempo (8:13). 5 min easy, then 6x1 min hard hills (8% and 9:40) with 2 min easy in between. 10 min easy CD, then 5 min walking. Felt OK - I had to walk for a few seconds during some of the breaks to let my stomach stop cramping, but otherwise I was pretty happy with how this went.

Note

Started the uphill walk, but I'm still feeling tired, so I decided to skip it this week, especially since I still have a hard TM workout tomorrow. My left hamstring is also pretty tight so I think it might be a good idea to give my legs an extra day of rest.
