We took the dogs for an easy hike at Echo Lake before my run, which was down Squaw Pass road from Echo Lake back to Evergreen

shoes: Saucony Guide white and blue

Marathon simulation run, almost all downhill (3500 feet of loss). 15 min @ 9:15, 15 min @ 7:40, 60 min @ 9:15, 30 min @ 8:15, 30 min around 9:45. I was able to hold the paces for the most part (I think - my GPS was flaking out), but it was tough. I started at 11,000 feet - might have been better to run somewhere lower elevation but it was also a hot day so being higher helped in that regard. Legs felt like jello at the end!

15 min WU, then 8x0.5 mile at 7:19 with 3 min walking in between. Didn't push the pace too much...wanted to make sure my calf felt ok. It was fine, so I did this last one one click faster. 15 min CD
