Runnning 10:42:44 [4] 47.0 mi (13:41 / mi)
SR50. There were some good things that happened and some bad. On the good sided, I finished 43 mins faster than last year. I felt good through the half way point. My legs hurt less than expected. I never felt like I was pushing that hard, although apparently I was. I did the same thing that I did in the Leadville Marathon where I maintained a slow jogging cadence at the bottom of the climbs and walked when the climbs got harder. One difference was that I tried to run the downhills harder.
On the bad side, my stomach went bad on me at the 6:30 mark. I threw up several times and had to slow walk the final climb. I eventuall recovered on the long downhill finish. It wasn't enjoyable running and being nausious.
I'm going to make some changes for the LT100.
